Operating Lines
Mass Coastal Railroad holds the freight rights and operates on 135 miles of track throughout Massachusetts. From the Southeast Mass Lines on Cape Cod to the Millis Branch Line, Mass Coastal holds trackage to serve our customers across the Commonwealth. Mass Coastal interchanges daily with our Class 1 partner CSX at two locations - Taunton and Middleboro. Through our partnership with CSX, shippers can ship products and materials to and from any location in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Southeast Mass Lines
The Southeast Mass Lines include the Cape Main line, stretching from Middleboro to Hyannis and South Yarmouth, and the Falmouth Secondary line from Buzzards Bay to North Falmouth and Otis Air Force Base.
South Coast Lines
The South Coast Lines include tracks from Taunton/Myricks to Fall River and New Bedford. Also includes the Watuppa Branch Line to Dartmouth/Westport.
Kingston Line
The Kingston Line interchanges at Braintree, and stretches to Kingston and Plymouth. Mass Coastal holds the freight rights on this MBTA operated line.
Millis Line
The Millis Line is a Mass Coastal branch line from Medfield Junction to Millis, and connects to the Framingham Secondary.
